Brownies Beetle Drive

On Friday the 21st of October Stithians Rainbows and Brownies held a beetle drive in the Stithians centre all in aid of raising money for the Royal British Legion. The girls did this as part of their work towards their Poppy badge.  As people kept pouring in to support the groups we realised a few more tables were needed, in fact we nearly ran out of tables and chairs throughout the whole building! Heads down, dice and pencils at the ready for everyone, with prizes on offer for the winners and wooden spoons looming for the losers, there was a lot of personal pride at stake for all taking part. The refreshments of cakes and drinks came as a welcome half way point break, as everyone was very focused and enthusiastic during the beetle drive time.

The beetle drive was a thriving success and raised £150 in total within 2 hours! We are very proud of all the hard work of everybody involved including all our hard working Rainbows and Brownies. A large cheque was presented to The Royal British Legion on Friday the 4th of November which we felt necessary to share with the village.
