Chris receives an Award

A very surprised Chris Davey received the Silver Oak Leaf Award from Sue Maybury at our Annual Review held at The Pavilion, Royal Cornwall Showground on Saturday 18th April.  Sue is the Deputy Chief Commissioner for South West England.  Congratulations Chris you certainly do deserve the award for all your hard work in keeping Girlguiding in Cornwall very active.

The next day Chris put this on Facebook:-

That a wonderful Annual Review afternoon yesterday.  Thank you Ali and ladies for your lovely singing.  I am very grateful to you all.  Well done to all who received awards and certificates and thanks to everyone for supporting me and coming to the Annual Review.

I was very surprised myself when Sue Maybury presented me with the South West England Silver Oak Leaf brooch and I thank those who had a hand in organising it for me, for which I was completely unaware of.  It was a lovely finish to the afternoon and I felt proud of everyone in our lovely Cornish Girlguiding County.

Special thanks to Pam Goudge and Sue Norfolk who made the afternoon run very smoothly.  Also to our Narrators, Heather Harper and Kathryn Teague, who did a wonderful job and to all who helped to make the afternoon such a success.

Thank you one and all.
