Access and parking

Access to Condurro is limited due to the width of the approach road. The lane leading up to the campsite is just wide enough for a standard car to fit through.

The campsite has a small amount of free parking. Leaders and those with disabilities may drive up to the site and leave their cars there.  This lane is very narrow with no passing places, so is not suitable for those dropping girls off. We suggest that girls should alight at the creek-side carpark and then walk up to the site. There are trolleys to help the girls carry all their kit. We recommend car sharing where possible.

Main campsite

The campsite comprises of a large grassed area covering approximately 1.5 acres rising up from the river. It is surround by trees and still has the odd apple tree here and there!

The main campsite is equipped for 30 campers but can can easily accommodate many more if you bring your own tents.

The platform

The platform stands proud at the top of the campsite. This is a large covered area that can be made weather proof by using the drop down covers. Off the platform is the Condo room. This can be used as a meeting room. There are tables and chairs in it as well as power and lights. The equipment store runs the whole length of the building. All of the equipment can be used at no additional charge. We just ask that you replace it as you find it.

Toilet block

Inside the toilet block as you bear to the left there are 3 toilets, 3 sinks, with over head mirrors and a shelf. At the far end is an electric shower with a hook behind the door.

There is also a utility sink as you enter the building that can be used for hand washing.

Around the right hand side of the building there are disabled toilet facilities and an independent shower room.

Bins and hanging hooks are provided.

The building has electricity and hot and cold running water.

Cabin and campfire

There is a smaller grassed area that rises up from the river, at the far end of the main campsite, which includes the campfire circle and has The Cabin overlooking it.

This separate area from the main campsite could be used for camping on, although it is a distance to the toilets! There is access to the main campsite from both the top and bottom end.

Campfire circle

This area is specifically set out for a campfire. A large covered woodstore is close by for wood that can be used. You can freely use the wood from the woodstore but please replace it. There is only limited supply in the area so it is suggested you bring your own.

The Cabin is a large wet weather room with tables and chairs. It can provide wet weather cover for a whole camp if necessary. There is power in this room and it has a sink with running water. The room is left clear so you can set it up as you want it.

There is an external tap situated on the end of the building.

Kitchen equipment store and alter fire

Everything you could possibly need to cook on site can be found in the Kitchen equipment store.

This is sited off The Platform and next to the altar fire. This is a store for food cooking equipment.

It is not suitable for cooking in, nor does it have provision for washing up.

The altar fire is on a hard standing area and provides a safe place to cook. It has a hot water bin attached. There is an ash bin , fire bucket and fire extinguishers next to it.

There is a camp oven that can be lifted and placed on top of the alter fire and used.

There is a covered wood store behind the alter fire. You can freely use the wood from the woodstore but please replace it. There is only limited supply in the area so it is suggested you bring your own.

The free standing water tap is also here.

Activity equipment shed

There is a separate shed which is full of equipment that anyone can use. From bats and balls to grass skies, parachutes and pioneer equipment, it can all be found in here. The equipment is free to use. We just ask that you return it as you found it.

Garden shed

The garden shed is where you will find everything you need for patrol cooking, BBQ's, poles for games and pioneering plus all the gardening tools.
